The activities of IELTS preparation workshop at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences

In continuation of the efforts made by Ain Shams University under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, to increase the skills of students and faculty staff to join the ranks of international universities with a prestigious international classification.

The workshop came under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, Prof. Dr. Rasha Ismail, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, Prof. Dr. Sherin Rady, Director of the Department of Special and International Programs at the faculty, and Dr. Abdullah Sami, General Supervisor of the Scholarships Welfare Office at the university.

         
   
         

Prof. Dr. Sheren Radi started the workshop activities with the presentation of the lecturers and talked about the importance of the IELTS test as one of the requirements for the college programs, then Dr. Abdullah Sami declared the various activities provided by the University's Scholarships Welfare Office.

During the workshop, Mr. Osama Al-Baili, the IELTS trainer and expert at the British Council, explained the different sources of the test and the services provided by the British Council, strategies for preparing for the exam in its four parts, and reviewed the types of common questions in the exam. Examples of students' English speaking skills were shown during the workshop.

At the end, the students discussed a set of questions about the IELTS test and its different skills.

This workshop comes within the activities of the monthly workshops organized by the Scholarships Welfare Office in the various faculties of the university, and the next workshop will be announced within days.
