As part of a series of events organized by Ain Shams University to raise societal awareness towards people with disabilities, the Student Service Center at Ain Shams University organized a training course for faculty members and the supporting staff at the Faculties of Arts and Law, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Rana Al-Hilali, Director of the Center, and present at the symposium Dr. Marwa Mendy, teacher, Department of Psychology.
Prof. Dr. Rana Al-Hilali said that the training course comes within the framework of a series of awareness seminars organized by the center, where the courses will be presented to the rest of the university’s faculties within an integrated plan to educate staff and faculty members to integrate students with disabilities into society to provide a qualified graduate, and to achieve an inclusive society without barriers.
Dr. Mustafa Al-Shahed, a teacher at the Faculty of Medicine, explained that the seminars aim to educate the faculty members about disability and how to provide support to students with different disabilities and provide educational services for them to reach the same educational services similar to their peers.
