The Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Center for Supporting Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the university, hosted the introductory seminar for the “Ain Shams Innovates 2022” competition, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Sherine Mazloum, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, in the presence of a large number of faculty members, the supporting staff, and students.
The seminar aims to support and guide students and researchers with the help of a group of experts in the field of entrepreneurship to create start-up companies and support innovative ideas.
Dr. Islam Adly, teacher in the Department of Entomology and Director of the Innovation Unit at the Faculty of Science, attended the seminar using a presentation in which he addressed the definition of the Ain Shams Innovate 2022 competition and its various paths, the conditions of the competition and its advantages represented in participating in practical exercises that would contribute to the development of emerging innovative ideas, as well as the competition provides an opportunity to obtain a certificate of participation, in addition to obtaining technical support and advice to improve projects. It also provides an opportunity to cooperate with partners and experts in various fields, and for the participant to become an active member of the entrepreneurship community within Ain Shams University. It also represents an opportunity to obtain Valuable cash prizes.
The attendance responded with Dr. Islam, with the aim of benefiting from the services provided by the Innovation Center in coordination with the coordinator of the innovation unit at the college, in preparation for increasing the participation in the next edition of the competition.
