Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Hussein Khairy, Captain of Doctors, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors, witnessed the graduation ceremony of the 2020 batch at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Osama Mansour, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Heba Allah Saeed, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Education and Student Affairs, and a group of faculty members, students and their families.
The celebration was organized under the auspices of the administration of the Ain Shams University Alumni Association, headed by Prof. Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti, and the Coordinator of the Faculty of Medicine.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, congratulated the students and bid them farewell to be the best ambassadors for the University.
He stressed that the fields of medical education and training are witnessing steady progress, pointing out that the Ain Shams Faculty of Medicine, which will celebrate on Saturday, March 26, the 75th anniversary of its establishment, will provide its students with high-end medical education and skills that enable them to compete anywhere in the world.
Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini encourages graduates to build on what has been gained during the years of study, and if someone travels to gain experience, he must learn and return home, stressing that opportunities in the medical field in Egypt are constantly increasing, the future is better and the future is impressive.
He stressed that the importance of medicine was evident during the Covid-19 pandemic, which clarified the importance of investment in the medical field and medical scientific research, pointing out that investments in the medical field in Egypt witnessed a noticeable increase during the past two years.
He concluded his speech by emphasizing that the graduates of the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University are highly qualified, which will enable them to participate in the service of their society and country to the fullest.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Hussein Khairy, President of the Doctors Syndicate, expressed his happiness to be in the faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, praising the developments witnessed by Ain Shams University.
He added that the physician's competence measure does not depend only on educational attainment during the years of study, but extends to other important things, including the constant keenness to continue learning.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors, welcomed the attendees at the graduation ceremony of the class of 2020, pointing out that the delay in holding this celebration was due to the conditions of the Corona pandemic, and he wished continued success for Ain Shams Faculty of Medicine and its children, pointing to Ain Shams Faculty of Medicine is among the first 200 facultys in the world and there are efforts to reach the first 50 facultys in the world.
The dean of the faculty praised the efforts of the graduates, the faculty and university administration, and the professors who were not stingy in providing information during the years of study, as well as the role of parents who have the primary credit for the success of their children.
He concluded his speech to the students, saying: Strive to realize your hopes, and be among the righteous sons of the nation.
She expressed a. Dr.. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, expressed her happiness at holding this celebration in the Dr. Al-Mahlawi after its renovation, noting that this amphitheater was a witness to generations of medical school graduates.
She congratulated the students and their families, and addressed the graduates' speech, during which she offered 3 tips: "Be positive", "Do not miss an opportunity to learn", and finally, you must continue to learn for a lifetime.
On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Osama Mansour, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Graduate Studies and Research, salutes the graduates and their families for their efforts to reach this moment.
He stressed that all the faculty professors will continue to support students during the specialization stage, saying, "We are with you in the post-graduation stage with all the support and advice as we were with you during the study."
Prof. Dr. Heba Allah Saeed, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Education and Student Affairs, expressed her pride in the Faculty’s students and their journey to graduation.
It is worth mentioning that the ceremony included some artistic paragraphs, followed by honoring the graduates and handing over certificates.
