Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Diaa Khalil, Professor of Communications and Electronics Department and General Supervisor of the Center for Innovation and Creativity at the university, Dr. Engy Damak, coordinator of international agreements and graduates of the faculty, Dr. Noha Gamal, the student exchange coordinator and students at the faculty, and the coordinators of programs and units at the faculty, in addition to representatives from the University of Pennsylvania Mr. Michael Grego and Mr. Lauren Fiori, Director of International Programs, The International Cooperation Office at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, organized an introductory seminar for the International Initiatives and Student Exchange Program at the University of Pennsylvania.
The seminar witnessed a presentation of the University of Pennsylvania's international programs and initiatives for undergraduate students, which aim to increase student exchange, gain more knowledge and experience, and enhance international scientific exchange.
The University of Pennsylvania is one of the most prestigious universities in the United States of America. This seminar came on the sidelines of the activities of the Sawiris Scholarship, which is a full scholarship - covering tuition fees, travel, housing, health insurance and a living stipend.
The student is selected based on their advantages shown through academic excellence and their non-academic external activities, which are currently offered to students of the Faculty of Engineering to spend a full year at the University of Pennsylvania in the United States of America.
