The Faculty of Archeology participates in the tenth scientific conference of Ain Shams University

On Thursday, March 31, 2022, the Faculty of Archeology, Ain Shams University, will organize a session in the tenth scientific conference of the university under the title of Archeology and the prospects for international cooperation. The session will be moderated by Prof. Dr, Fayza Heikal, Professor of Ancient Egyptian Archeology at the American University in Cairo.

The session begins with a lecture by Prof. Mamdouh El-Damaty, Dean of the Faculty and former Minister of Antiquities, on the Saffron Palace Museum and the prospects for international cooperation, followed by a lecture by Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim, the former Minister of Antiquities and supervisor of the Department of Museums and Archaeological Sites, on the excavations of the Serapeum in Sakara, while Prof. Dr. Ali Abdel Halim, Head of the Department Ancient Egyptian Antiquities on the Temple of Kom Ombo: What is New in the Joint Cooperation between Ain Shams University and Cologne University in Germany.

The session concludes with a lecture by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Shawki, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, and supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs sector, on the excavations of Sheikh Al-Arab Hammam and the cooperation between Ain Shams University and the French Institute of Oriental Archeology in Cairo.

It is worth mentioning that the session will start at nine in the morning and end at eleven in the training building of the Faculty of Medicine, room 502.
