The Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University sounded the sirens to announce its emergency evacuation, in an experimental evacuation experiment, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of a. Dr. Youmna Safwat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Narmin Hamdi, Director of the Crisis and Disaster Management Unit, in the presence of Lt. Col. Ahmed Abdel Hamid, Director of the Civil Defense Department at the university, and Prof. Mohamed Abdel Moneim, director of the civil defense department at the Faculty.
With the sound of the first warning siren, the Department of Civil Defense, in cooperation with the Administrative Security Department of the Faculty, spread throughout the Faculty to organize the evacuation of those present there, and the ambulance was in its pre-designated place to assist those present in case of injuries during any natural disasters. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, was among those who carried out the eviction immediately after the warning was issued.
The experimental operation started from 11:30 and ended at 11:54 successfully, as all the Faculty buildings were completely evacuated from the faculty members, the supporting staff, students, administrators, and workers, and emergency exits were used in the design of the Faculty buildings, where men were deployed Civil defense and administrative security on all floors of the Faculty in a proactive plan dedicated to activating it immediately upon the occurrence of any emergency that may occur in the future.
The evacuation process aimed to train the human element to abide by all security standards in the event of any natural disasters, and to raise the efficiency of the Faculty's Civil Defense Department in managing any emergency that might occur.
