A successful evacuation plan for the Physics Department of the Faculty of Education

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hazem Rashid, Dean of the Faculty of Education, and in coordination with the Faculty Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty Students’ Union, the University Security and Civil Defense departments at the Faculty, and general supervision from the University’s Civil Defense Department, and full media coverage from the Faculty’s Public Relations Department, the Physics Department Implementing a successful evacuation plan in the building as one of the security and safety requirements associated with academic accreditation practices. The plan aims for training in the protection of life and property, psychological preparedness to face dangers and knowledge of the nearest ways to escape in the Faculty, in addition to collective organizing for optimal behavior in emergency times, in addition to developing a spirit of cooperation during crises and avoiding the effects of panic at the time of accidents and the resulting dangers and injuries as a result of overcrowding during the evacuation process.

         
   
         

As well as dealing with the event effectively, and the implementation of the experiment began at exactly eleven o’clock in the morning on all floors of the building, laboratories, stands and rooms, and the speed of control during emergencies with the available means and the speed of evacuating students, workers, staff and faculty members until the arrival of civil defense teams and the arrival of officials to take decisions and measures Which ensured the workflow in the required manner in coordination with the civil defense official on the site, and the experiment was carried out on time with the concerted efforts of the faculty and the university and was characterized by the record time in implementation in addition to the wonderful organization and the full commitment of everyone to all instructions received from the civil defense.

At the conclusion of the experiment, the head of the Physics Department thanked the faculty administration, all the work teams and all the participants for their concerted efforts to make the experiment a success, as it represents the importance of security and safety requirements.
