Within the activities of the week of celebration of World Environment Day, which is held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the Faculty of Environmental Studies and Research at Ain Shams University held a panel discussion in cooperation with the Federation of Egyptian Industries on the circular economy and digital transformation in the presence of a group of experts and specialists in the field of environment and hosted by expert professors from the University of Granada Prof. Dr. Valentine Moreno, Prof. Dr. Manuel Ross, in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Kamal, executive director and advisor to the Federation of Egyptian Industries and member of the Egyptian negotiating delegation for climate change, Eng. Mohamed Aref, engineer of the Chamber of Commerce and Marble Factories.
Prof. Dr. Noha Samir Donia said in her speech that the faculty celebrates today the accreditation of the Center for Environmental Consultation and Research in the faculty as a house of expertise within the Federation of Egyptian Industries, noting that today's seminar aims to establish more different aspects of joint cooperation between Egypt and Spain in the field of revolving environmental economy.
Eng. Ahmed Kamal, advisor to the Federation of Egyptian Industries for Technical Affairs, stated that the Environmental Consultation and Research Center at Ain Shams University has been accredited as a consultancy in the field of environmental consultancy and research, due to his many experiences in research and scientific studies and providing innovative solutions to sectors in various fields.
Prof. Dr. Valentin Moreno gave a lecture on the circular economy as a new paradigm, while Prof. Dr. Manuel Ross lecture entitled Digital Transformation and the Revolving Economy.
The meeting resulted from joint projects with the college, the Federation of Industries and Spanish experts.
At the conclusion of the discussion, Eng. Ahmed Kamal, President of the Federation of Industries awarded Prof. Dr. Noha Samir Donia, Dean of the Faculty, the center's accreditation certificate, and Prof. Dr. Donia awarded the faculty shield in honor of his efforts.
