Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, witnessed a panel discussion held by the University’s Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research, in cooperation with the Egyptian Youth Council, on the “National Agenda towards confronting climate change and limiting its impact”, as part of the activities of the celebration of World Environment Day, under sponsorship of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Noha Samir Donia, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research.
The National Action Plan for Climate Change was announced as a result of the training program Climate Partners carried out by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research with the Egyptian Youth Council in cooperation with the German Friedrich Naumann Foundation with the aim of raising the capacities of the evidence committees of political parties and youth civil society organizations concerned with environmental issues to develop a national agenda to confront Climate change issues, which were carried out by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research as a training partner in the program in order to spread awareness about climate change and contribute to creating a more sustainable future in that context, with the help of all trainers and experts from the Faculty of Environmental Studies and Research to supervise the recommendations and outputs of the national action plan in Confronting climate changes within the framework of the joint responsibility of civil society with government agencies in facing the effects of climate changes.
