Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the team of Ain Shams University ASUWind achieved first place in the award for the highest annual energy production, the University of Manitoba in Canada won the sustainable design award and the University of Toronto in Canada won the best design, in the international competition for small wind turbines for university students, which is held annually in the Netherlands in Delft University laboratories.
The competition was held from May 30 to June 3, 2022, with the participation of 10 universities from the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Denmark, Canada and Egypt.
