Within the framework of the celebration of the centenary of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Middle East Research and Future Studies Center will hold the conference “The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a Hundred Years (1922-2022 AD)” on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, under the patronage of Minister Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Affairs and Environmental Development and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Munis, Director of the Center and General Rapporteur of the Conference, at Al-Mahlawi Coliseum, Faculty of Medicine.
The conference aims to clarify the role of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry and highlight the role of Egyptian diplomacy in addition to highlighting the importance of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its most important political achievements, as well as highlighting the role of the Foreign Ministry and achieving cooperation with Arab and foreign countries and clarifying the role of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry in facing challenges and crises as well as the importance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs In protecting Egyptian peace and security and how to achieve the Egyptian diplomatic presence on the Arab and international levels.
The conference will also discuss several topics, including a historical overview of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the political role of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry at the regional and international levels, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the royal era, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the republican era, and the establishment of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
