The Fifth Annual Conference of the Egyptian Gastroenterology Association will be held on 26-27 May 2022, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Tarek Youssef, Conference Chairman, Professor of Internal Medicine, Liver and Digestive System, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Sayed Shalaby, President of the Egyptian Gastroenterology Association, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Metwally Secretary of the Conference.
Prof. Dr. Tarek Youssef, Professor of Internal Medicine, Liver and Gastrointestinal System, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Secretary of the Egyptian Society of Gastroenterology and President of the Conference, said that the conference provides an opportunity for young doctors and attendees to benefit, interact and discuss with professors and faculty members in the specialization of the digestive system and liver, and also allows doctors specializing in endoscopy and its workers to train. On the cases of interventional endoscopy in the two workshops during the two days of the Diagnostic, Therapeutic and Interventional Conference, such as the installation of a gastric tube, removal of colon polyps and sampling, and endoscopy of the bile ducts.
He added that the conference will discuss the impact of various diseases on the digestive system and the liver, including corona infection, as well as the Egyptian problem in diseases and treatment in order to implement the solution through 20 sessions between discussion and scientific sessions, to discuss various diseases of the digestive system and liver in Egypt and their solutions and the new in treatment and diagnosis, and my two workshops Work to train and teach diagnostic and interventional endoscopy for young doctors.
It is worth mentioning that the conference includes a group of professors of the digestive system and liver at the Egyptian and international levels to discuss the new, solutions, treatment and diagnosis of liver diseases, liver tumors, hepatitis viruses and fatty liver.
