The Faculty of computer and information Sciences wins first positions in Ain Shams Innovates competition 2022

Ain Shams Innovate competition was held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development.

         
   
         

The researcher, Tasnim Gamel, assistant lecturer in the Department of Information Systems, majoring in Bioinformatics, won the first place in the engineering researchers’ track under the title “NAFLDO - Web application for early diagnosis of NASH and Liver Cancer”. Under the supervision of Dr. Sherin Rady, assistant professor in the department and Prof. Dr. Praise Kamel Professor of the Faculty of Medicine.

The team of faculty students in Ain Shams Innovate competition won first place in the “Implement your idea” track with the project “Musheer - AI Powered ArSL Virtual Tutor” for Arabic sign language using artificial intelligence.

         
   
         

The team consists of Ahmed Ayman Abed Abdel Wahed - Amani Salah Zahran - Mohamed Mustafa Abdel Hakim - Moamen Hamada Nagah, students in the fourth year - Department of Computer Science under the supervision of Dr. Hanan Yousry is a teacher in the department and Ms. Marwa Helali, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Science, Department.

The announcement of winners' ceremony was held on Saturday 3-7-2022 at the iHub building.

Prof. Dr. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty and Prof. Dr. Hala Mosheer, the Vice Dean received the winners to hand them certificates of appreciation and praise for their effort.
