Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, supervised by Prof. Dr. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, Dr. Yasmine Afifi, Director of the Alumni Unit, coordinated the holding of the first Arabic version of the Mind the Gap Program by Google initiative at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, Ain Shams University, Egypt.
The initiative aims to educate female students in the first years of the distinguished job opportunities available in the company for girls and encourage them to develop their abilities and qualify for the personal interview.
The meetings lasted for three days, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from ten in the morning until one in the afternoon.
The meetings dealt with various topics such as the nature of work in the company and the description of different professions and their requirements, a tour of Google projects, life at Google, unconscious bias and how to overcome it and a lecture on job interviews were discussed.
Finally, a platform was set up to ask organizations any questions.
The meetings were attended by 35 female students, and a certificate of participation will be sent to them.
