Updating Shams Thesis System to facilitate the search, access and quotation service for researchers

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and the supervision of Dr. Islam Hegazy, Executive Director of the Network and Information Technology Center, the Shams Thesis System has been updated, according to a new form and mechanism that facilitates the use of the system.

The Shams Theses system provides a wide range of theses (Masters and PhD) from Ain Shams University and other Egyptian universities. Through the system, the researcher can view the scientific theses available in electronic form and quote them within the limits of the permissible quantity.

Students and researchers are accepted by the Access Section at the Network and Information Technology Center to benefit from the scientific theses available on the system.

Dr. Islam Hegazy, Executive Director of the Center for Networks and Information Technology, confirmed that there are more than 187,000 scientific theses available on the Shams system, noting that about 5,000 male and female researchers visit the Center’s review department annually to benefit from the Shams Theses system, which is equivalent to about 300 researchers per month from All scientific disciplines.

Dr. Islam Hegazy pointed out that there is a growing interest by researchers in the Shams system because of the service it provides for citation and citation of scientific messages, and therefore the system has been updated in a way that facilitates researchers access to the scientific messages they need, in addition to facilitating the process of scientific citation of messages according to the specified quantity. scientifically permissible.

He stressed that work is underway to update many electronic systems that benefit students, faculty staff and researchers, pointing out that more systems will be updated in the coming days.
