The Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, won the first and third places in the “Grow Organic” competition, which is organized by the Faculty of Bio-Agriculture at Heliopolis University for Sustainable Development, in cooperation with the Organic Egypt Project, the Egyptian Society for Bio-Agriculture, Demeter Egypt and the Knowledge Hub for Organic Agriculture in North Africa - Egypt DeVilag.

“Cultivate the best marjoram” Prepared by: Alaa Saeed Mohamed, Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University
And he won third place: The Guide
"Organic Sesame" Prepared by: Asmaa Saeed Khamis in cooperation with Esraa Rabie, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University
It is worth noting that the Faculty of Bio-Agriculture at Heliopolis University organized the “Grow Organic” competition with the aim of encouraging Egyptian university students to write a guide on agricultural methods and biological control for one of the crops chosen by the student, in order to raise awareness and spread the culture of organic agriculture among local farmers and students and provide Scientific information in a simplified way that is easy for farmers and workers in the organic agriculture sector to understand and apply, with the aim of improving the quality and quantity of organic agriculture in Egypt. The university identified represented by the Faculty of Bio-Agriculture by choosing only one of the following crops: cumin - mint - fennel - basil - marjoram - chamomile - sesame Onions - garlic - star anise The student provides him with a guide to planting and caring for the crop.
150 students participated in the competition as representatives of the faculties of agriculture at the level of the Republic.
The evaluation committee was formed from Prof. Dr. Fawzi Abu Al-Abbas Al-Qaim, Professor of Plant Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Wael Hazin, Professor of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants at Beni Suef University, Vice Dean of the Institute of Graduate Studies of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Beni Suef, Prof. Dr. Refaat Allam, Professor of Field Crops Research Institute, Agricultural Research Center, Sohag Research Station, administered and organized the competition Prof. Dr. Shaima Reda Hatab, Dean of Biodynamic Agriculture, Heliopolis University.
