A workshop in cooperation between the Faculty of Engineering and Salford Engineering in England to discuss strategies for linking educational curricula to the labor market

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University and Prof. Dr. Omar El-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University was held in cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment at the University of Salford in England

With the support and sponsorship of the British Council in Egypt, a workshop was held to discuss strategies for linking educational curricula with industry and the labor market.

         
   
         

Professors and experts from leading companies in the engineering field, experts from civil society institutions, representatives of government agencies, and Egyptian accreditation bodies were invited. for the twenty-first century

Co-create GUI Engineering Curriculum for the 21st Century

The session was opened by Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University - by welcoming the invitees and clarifying the strategic plan of the college in this regard.

a. Dr./ Hisham El-Qadi, Dean of the College of Engineering, University of Salford - reviewed the experience of Vietnam and the national projects that were participated in to develop engineering curricula and methods of teaching and learning - and how to link with the industry to be consistent with the competencies of the graduate and the needs of the labor market.

   
   

Prof. Dr. Mostafa Refaat, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Education and Students reviewed the college’s visions in developing curricula and how to add modern teaching and learning axes that link in a regulatory manner with the industry and make partners from the practical sector an essential and effective participant in the educational process, which leads to the readiness of the graduate directly to the labor market , and how to form the study regulations to be flexible enough to interact and be consistent with the engineering regulations in other universities to provide different opportunities for students to travel and study - and also hosted professors from abroad to teach and debates took place during three intercourse sessions to raise comprehensive recommendations and integrate all the different opinions to be represented in Workshop recommendations.
