As part of the series of developments taking place at Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, inaugurated a number of innovations at the Faculty of Medicine, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Osama Mansour, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Executive Director of University Hospitals, Prof. Dr. Samia Abdo, Deputy Director of Hospitals, Prof. Tarek Youssef, Deputy Director of Hospitals, and Ms. Dr. Hala Sweid, Director of Elderly Hospital, Prof. Dr. Tamer Emara, Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Director of the International Cooperation Office, and a group of faculty members at the Faculty of Medicine and heads of departments.
The new headquarters of the fellowship program from the Faimer Foundation Regional Institute in Philadelphia, based at the University's Faculty of Medicine, was opened to serve the Middle East and North Africa region, which includes an annex hall for holding workshops, as well as a number of administrative offices.
The Department of Public Health was opened after its renovation, the Department of Information Technology (IT), the second phase of the renovations of the Physiology Department and some of the corridors that were renovated in the faculty.
Also, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini inaugurated the mortuary and the attached embalming hall after renovating it in line with international standards to preserve health.
After the openings, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, toured the hospitals, during which he inspected the Ain Shams Virtual Hospital and the gymnasium with the credit hours program.
It is worth noting that two projects are underway to be completed and will be opened within the coming weeks, namely the new site of the Graduate Studies Department and the upper computer lab.
