Eighty-five beneficiaries of free screening for osteoporosis in " Don’t be broke & Don’t be Refract"

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Safi, Dean of the Faculty of Law, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Faculty of Law, organized an awareness campaign on osteoporosis Under the title "Menchirch & Refract" at the Faculty of Law.

   
   

This came in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Al-Shafei, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law for Education and Student Affairs, coordination and the presence of Prof. Gehan Ragab, Advisor to the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Yassin Al-Shazly, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the supervision and presence of Mr. Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service Affairs The medical supervision of the campaign was carried out by Dr. Marwa Ahmed Kamel Hassan and Dr. Muhammad Mustafa Metwally, Department of Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation and Rheumatology, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University.

The campaign provided 85 free early detections of osteoporosis to women and men of different ages who frequent the campaign, and all inquiries about the disease and prevention methods were answered.

Prof. Dr. Jihan Rajab, the campaign coordinator, explained that the campaign specifically targeted women over the age of 50, men over the age of sixty, and a diabetic over the age of 50, as well as anyone who suffered a fracture as a result of a simple fall or a knock within the past 3 months, especially if he exceeded the age of 50. The age of fifty to avoid fractures resulting from osteoporosis, as those who were proven to have osteoporosis were referred to specialized professors to determine the medical treatment program for them, guide them to the appropriate diet for them, and follow up their disease condition for free in the osteoporosis clinic in the Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Department at Demerdash Hospital.
