Ain Shams University is looking to expand the base of cooperation with Kean University and Ocean College of the Americas

Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, on behalf of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, held an extensive meeting with Prof. Dr. John Larson, President of Ocean County College, New Jersey, USA, and Dr. Maisa Abu Youssef, Assistant Vice President for International Affairs and Dean of Educational Communication at Ocean College, USA, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, and Prof. Dr. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information at Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr.. Siham Gerges, Vice Dean of the College of Nursing for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Sherwat Al-Ahmadi, Director of Expatriates Department in the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, and Dr. Eileen Garcia, Vice President of Ocean College, Dr. Felice Vazquez, Executive Vice President of Keene University, Dr. Cristina Vasquez is associate director at Keene University and Dr. Naama Fathy is director of the faculty's international cooperation unit.

The meeting came with the aim of expanding the base of joint cooperation between the two sides, especially after the success of the joint program between the two parties.

It was the product of the partnership program between Ain Shams University, Keene University and the American Ocean College at the Faculty of Business, Ain Shams University, which was launched in 2016 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Khaled Kadri, Dean of the Faculty of Business; To be the first program in Egyptian universities to grant the graduate three certificates (Ain Shams - Keene - Ocean), and the first batch of the program was graduated in the academic year 2019/20220.

Where Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud confirmed that Ain Shams University is doing its best to open up prospects for cooperation and partnership with major international universities in order to prepare Egyptian cadres of the highest degree of efficiency and skill capable of competing in the local and international labor market through its tools that keep pace with the requirements of the times, which is consistent and contributes In achieving the goals of sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030, and keeping pace with the goals and steps of the new republic in advancing the educational process, raising the scientific and skill level of the Egyptian student, and creating a generation of promising Egyptian youth who are capable of change and have the ability to find solutions to problems and contribute to facing development challenges in Egypt.

During the meeting, the discussion touched on the possibility of creating new joint scientific degrees between Ain Shams University and its American counterpart in a number of fields, including computers and information.

On the other hand, Prof. Dr. John Larson, praised the efforts of Ain Shams University in managing and overcoming all avenues for the success of the partnership between the two sides and in the interest of the Egyptian student. Pointing out that Kean University was sure of its confidence in choosing to cooperate with Ain Shams University as an international academic partner with a reputable global reputation.
