Within the framework of the Faculty of Agriculture's concern with the problems of agriculture in Egypt, The Faculty is organizing a seminar entitled "Rice cultivation in the shadow of limited water" under the patronage of the Minister of Irrigation and Financial Resources, the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation and the President of Ain Shams University.
On Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the Grand Conference Hall of the Faculty within the activities of the Diamond Jubilee.
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty, explained that the seminar will host Prof. Dr. Abdul Azim Tantawi, President of the Center for Agricultural Research, which presents the history of rice cultivation and its development in Egypt. Prof. Dr. Abdul Salam Daraz, Deputy Director of the Field Crops Research Institute and former Head of Rice Research, discusses the development of rice breeding programs in the rationing of rice in Egypt. Dr. Abdullah Abdel Nabi, Head of Research at the Center for Research and Training in Rice, discusses the efficiency of water use in rice fields nationally and internationally, and Dr. Munir Fouda, Professor Emeritus at the Institute of Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Research Center discusses the economic and social dimension of rice cultivation in Egypt.
