Honoring media experts at the Graduation Projects Festival for the Department of Communication and Media Sciences in the Faculty of Arts

The Department of Communication and Media Sciences, Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, organized the Graduation Projects Festival, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel Metwally, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and Prof. Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Head of the Department of Communication and Media Sciences, in the presence of a number of media figures who were honored within the festival's activities, including: Suzan Hassan, former head of television, and Dr. Mahmoud Muslim, President of the DMC Network, Chairman of the Senate Culture and Media Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al-Watan Foundation, and Prof. Nadia Mabrouk, the former president of the Egyptian Radio and a member of the Senate, and the head of the Voice of Cairo Company for audio and video.

Mr. Emad El-Din Hussein, editor-in-chief of Al-Shorouk newspaper, a member of the Senate, Mrs. Farida Al-Shobashi, journalist, writer and member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Khaled Miri, editor-in-chief of Al-Akhbar newspaper, broadcaster Gamal Al-Shaer, undersecretary of the National Media Authority, Mr. Nashat Al-Daihi, head of channel ten, and Mrs. Fatima Fouad, Vice President of Egyptian Television and former head of Alexandria Channel were honored.

As well as the media, Hala Abu Alam, Director General of Broadcasters in the Egyptian TV and former Vice President of Nile International Channel, Prof. Ehab Abu Zeid, head of Al-Nahar TV Network, Prof. Taghreed Hussein, head of Nile TV, and Egyptian TV presenters, Mr. Khaled Saad, Dr. Heba Hamza, and Dr. Dina Fikri.

The ceremony witnessed the honoring of Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Sherine Mazloum, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Heba Shaheen, former head of the Department of Communication and Media Sciences and head of the Media Sector Committee at the Ministry of Higher Education.

The festival included the presentation of graduation projects for the people of the press, radio, television and public relations, which number about 30, with 14 jobs in the Radio and Television Division, 14 jobs in the Public Relations Division and two jobs in the Press Division. The issues and topics covered by the projects vary between social, heritage, artistic, scientific, and economic. and patriotism.

As for the projects of the Department of Journalism, they are “A Al-Qahwa” magazine, a general magazine that sheds light on the role of coffee in ancient Egyptian society, and “A second brain” magazine, the department’s first specialized youth magazine, that talks about successful models of youth.

The Television Department presents a number of documentary films:

As for the documentaries: "Day", which talks about hope, "From the Seventh Grandfather", which talks about the profession of leather tanning and its origins, "The Devil's Game", which discusses intolerance, "The Sixth Earth", which deals with climate and environmental changes, and "Treasures", which sheds light on ecotourism and "Waten" that highlights the role of the father.

As for the documentaries: “Symphony from the Deep” is a documentary film about the distinctive diving places in Egypt, “Athar” is a film that talks about the development of Egypt’s capitals from the Pharaonic civilization to the administrative capital, and “Cadre” is a documentary film on the history of Egyptian animated films.

Radio Division 5 presents radio works, the radio docudrama “The Taste,” which embodies the 2019 bombing of the Terrorist Oncology Institute, the radio docudrama “A Bitter Laughter,” which narrates the history of humor and irony in Egypt, and the radio special program “Qisas Amal,” which talks about children in the role of Orphans, the radio feature "Beyond the Balance", which talks about the harms of obesity, and "Realistic but" a semi-drama that reviews the expected development of life in the world of Metaverse.

As for the Public Relations Division, the projects vary between media and advertising campaigns, and the media campaigns were as follows: the “Heroes M” campaign about the Egyptian family’s role in making the Olympic champion, the “Blue Gold” campaign, which aims to rationalize water consumption, and the “Daira” campaign that deals with the disease Excessive concern among young people, the “Kashf Al-Mizan” campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the dangers of following random diets, the “Equal” campaign to educate parents about the need for equality between children, the “Ayadi” campaign to revive the heritage of handicrafts, and the “Tafwela” campaign to encourage car owners to convert petrol. for natural gas, and the “Sign Out” campaign to reduce the use of mobile phones, and the “Second teams” campaign on the importance of the second in decision-making, and the “Al-Hekaya wa Shain” campaign, which aims to modify the behavior of individuals in making judgments after hearing one party over the other.

As for the advertising campaigns, they were “Tour Sina” which is a campaign to promote a tourism company whose goal is to promote tourism in Egypt, “Scope” about an Egyptian application that includes all kinds of talents to support the talented, “The Art of Zein” which is a campaign about an application that contains Egyptian motifs in the Pharaonic, Coptic and Islamic eras , "Monley", a campaign for an application that provides specialized cars to deliver gasoline to customers' location.

The festival also witnessed the competition of 14 radio and television films in the Radio and Television Division, 14 media campaigns in the Public Relations Division, and two magazines in the Press Division.

The results were as follows:

In the Journalism Division, another Brain magazine won the award for the best magazine.

In the Public Relations Division, for media campaigns, the Heroes campaign won the special award, the Al-Dayrah campaign won the first place, while the Exit campaign and the Tafoila campaign won the second place equally, while the campaign came equally in third place.

In advertising campaigns, the Monley campaign won first place, the Sina tour campaign ranked second, while the Art of Zein campaign came third.

In the Radio and Television Division, as for the radio, the Beyond Al-Mizan project won the first place, while the Kasakes Amal project won the second place, and a realistic project, but it won the third place.

As for television, the movie “The Devil’s Game” won the Excellence Award, and the movie “Symphony from the Deep” won the first place, while the second place went to the films Treasures and Athar, in equal parts, and in third place was my film “Seventh Grandfather” and the cadre in equal parts.
