The Department of Educational Media, Faculty of Specific Education, Ain Shams University, won the Media Creativity Competition, as the Media and Digital Transformation Foundation announced the results of the media creativity competition dedicated to the graduation projects of students of media faculties, departments and institutes, which is the largest at the regional and global levels, on the three levels of the competition, local, Arab and African.
Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Sayed, the Dean of the Faculty, confirmed that the Department of Educational Media had won the best magazine (equally) - “Kalam Modern” magazine, the Faculty of Mass Communication, the Modern University, the “Al-Bidaya” magazine, the Faculty of Specific Education, Ain Shams University, and in the photography competition, the department won In third place through the album "Show it with us", Faculty of Specific Education, Ain Shams University, where more than 6 universities compete in the classification of private creativity, and Egypt, the UAE and Saudi Arabia were at the forefront in the Arab world.
Journalist writer Abdel-Gawad Abukab, Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, explained that the competition this year witnessed wide participation from most universities and academic institutions, especially distinguished and rich history, where the number exceeded 5 thousand participants representing 114 universities and educational institutions from Egypt, the Arab world and the African continent.
Abukab added that the large number of participants and the distinction of most of the works put a great responsibility on the judging committees, which made a great effort to accomplish the difficult profession, pointing out that the competition allocates a creativity award for the best production for each category awarded collectively to its projects, provided that the selection of projects in this category is not repeated in the general competition centers.
It is noteworthy that media creativity is an annual competition launched by the Media and Digital Transformation Foundation, among students’ graduation projects, in the last year of their university studies with the aim of supporting the creative and distinguished elements among students and motivating students of the following years to make greater effort in their graduation projects, in addition to providing support Free logistics during the implementation of projects in a way that contributes to raising the level of graduates and serving the profession
The Arab and African versions of the competition aim to create a common ground of academic cooperation and targeted competition that will raise the level of students’ academic production through direct and indirect contact between students, professors and their counterparts in various academic institutions. The competition also aims to highlight and support the creative and distinguished elements. among students and motivating students of the following years to make greater effort in their graduation projects, as well as giving faculty members their due appreciation, in addition to opening new horizons for cooperation between Arab and African educational institutions, which contributes to raising the level of graduates and serving the profession in general in light of the reality Digital created a governing framework and set new rules for development, whether in the field of academic education or professional practice.
In the conditions of the competition, the institution takes into account the diversity and difference between different countries with regard to the framework of the educational process and its content, and as a kind of facilitation, the door was opened for students to submit their projects, as some universities in some countries prohibit faculties from submitting graduate projects, and it supports and establishes the digital environment and new concepts in the market The global work that transcended the idea of geographical borders and has other standards in light of the media of artificial intelligence and the unprecedented arrangements imposed by the pandemic and the reality of the post-Corona world.
The President of the Media and Digital Transformation Foundation praised the distinguished efforts of students and professors, especially in integrated projects in various categories that use artificial intelligence and augmented reality, as well as the development of students’ thinking in graduation projects to develop plans to establish projects and media companies related to the technology revolution and augmented reality technologies, as well as the students’ keenness In various countries with national projects, development issues, climate change and digital transformation.
