Within the framework of hosting Ain Shams University headed by a. Dr.. Mahmoud El-Matini, Regional Action Initiative on Climate Change (RACC) in collaboration with the International Drylands Development Committee (IDDC) and the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), the university cities of Ain Shams University under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, received a student delegation that included 125 African students from different countries of the continent, for comprehensive accommodation in university cities throughout the period of the conference, which started on Saturday, September 3, until September 5 this year.
Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, expressed his great happiness at hosting the people of the brown continent, stressing that Ain Shams University, as part of the Egyptian state, is proud to always be a meeting place for African brothers, and in that it offers all ways to highlight Egypt’s pivotal role In the heart of the brown continent.
Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud has reassured and followed all the housing and accommodation procedures and the good reception for the participating student delegations.
It is expected that the students' participation will include scientific presentations with numbers and statistics that support the presentation of a vision of the climatic conditions that the continent suffers from.
The residence of students in university cities comes under the supervision of Mr. Mohamed Al-Khatib, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Mr. Ibrahim Saeed, General Supervisor of the University Cities Sector.
