Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz, Vice President of Community Service and Environmental Development, the ambassador Moushira Khattab, head of the National Council for Human Rights, will meet with students of Ain Shams University in a symposium on the national strategy for human rights within the framework of the university’s cultural and artistic season, on Wednesday, July 27, at ten in the morning at El-Mahlawi amphitheater at the Faculty of Medicine.
Prof. Dr. Jihan Ragab, Advisor to the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and the organization of the University Student Union and a Family for Central Egypt coordinated the symposium.
The symposium aims to raise awareness among the youth of Ain Shams University of the most important features and dimensions of the national strategy for human rights, which the political leadership confirmed as a serious step towards the advancement of human rights in Egypt, taking into account the importance of this vital field in evaluating the advancement and progress of societies.
The symposium will discuss the national human rights strategy through 4 main axes that complement each other, which are the axis of civil and political rights, the axis of economic, social, and cultural rights, the axis of women's and children's rights, people with special abilities, youth and the elderly, and finally the axis of education and capacity-building in the field of human rights.
The symposium also deals with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
