In the framework of the preparation of the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University to obtain quality and program accreditation, the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit organized a training course entitled (Awareness of visual impairment and how to make educational materials available to them), in cooperation with the University’s Students with Disabilities Service Center, as well as the Baseera Foundation for People with Visual Needs.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Safi, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Al-Shafei, Vice Dean of Education and Student Affairs, started this session, where the Dean welcomed the lecturers and attendees, stressing the importance of agreeing on realistic steps that can be presented on the ground to serve and support students with disabilities in general.
A group of faculty staff, the teaching assistants, and student affairs staff at the faculty attended, and gave a lecture in which Dr. Mustafa Al-Shahed, Deputy Director of the Service Center for Students with Disabilities, and Dr. Samia Serri, Director of Rehabilitation Centers at Baseera, and Mrs. Shorouk Yahya, director of the Baseera branch.
The Dean of the Faculty thanked Dr. El-Desouky Abdel Nasser, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty, and Assistant Teacher Hadeer Ghattas, Faculty Coordinator at the University's Capacity Support Center for People with Special Needs.
