Prof. Dr. Khalid Abdel-Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, reviewed a report on the progress of 3 Egyptian scientific journals in the classification of Clarifit for international journals. The report also pointed out that the two faculties of Engineering at Alexandria and Ain Shams universities have recently been accredited by the Scopus platform, launched by Elsevier Publishing House, the Web platform of Clarify, the United States, the Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) and the Impact Factor.

The report pointed to the distinguished role of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank in helping the Egyptian universities magazines, raising some of them on the knowledge bank platform, holding specialized workshops for editors of local magazines to become internationally indexed magazines and experts from international publishing houses such as Taylor & Francis, Elsevier, Nature, Springer , Clarivate and others to upgrade these magazines to global reach.

The US-based Clarivate Association has agreed to include 36 local Egyptian magazines in Emerging Journals. Citations are being prepared for the development of an impact factor.
