Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Howayda Al-Gebali, Dean of the Graduate School of Childhood Studies, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Kahki, director of the Center for the Care of People with Special Needs, organized by Prof. Dr. Basem El Tohamy, National Director of the Egyptian Special Olympics, Prof. Amr Mohie, Director of Games and Competitions, Dr. Tarek Al-Nagar, Director of Egyptian Special Olympics Initiatives, Dr. Ahmed Sarhan, Director of the Egyptian Special Olympics Health Program, Dr. Tarek Mohsen, director of the Leadership Development Program at the Egyptian Special Olympics, coordinated by Ayat Eid, a clinical psychologist and technical director of the Olympic competitions.
Children of the Center for Special Needs Care at the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Childhood at Ain Shams University participated in the Egyptian Special Olympics in the swimming competition, with four competitors from the center’s children in the competition, and each of the following won:
1- Ziad Ahmed Amin, in second place - a silver medal
2- Youssef Ashraf in fifth place - participation badge
3- Ritaj Taha in fifth place - participation badge
4- Youssef Mahmoud Abdel Moati in sixth place - participation badge.
Some children from the Center for People with Special Needs also participated in other clubs, including: -
Ahmed Marzouk first place - a gold medal, the child Adham Baligh second place - a silver medal, and the child Mohammed Khaled.
The competition activities were held on (5/6/8) this September at Cairo Stadium, with the participation and supervision of some members of the social activities team, Dr. Marwa Bayoumi, Activities Team Leader (Fun) and Media Center, Mr. Ihab Al-Kurdi, secretary of the center director and a member of the fun team, a. Fatima Mahmoud is a secretary and a member of the Fun Team.
