Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, attended the graduation ceremony of the twenty-third batch of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr, Minister of Local Development and former Minister of Education, and Prof. Dr. Yasser Al-Kadi, former Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Muhammed Fahmy Tolba, Prof. Dr. Essam Khalifa, Prof. Dr. Muhammed Rushdi, the former deans of the faculty, Prof. Dr. Omar Karam, Dean of the Faculty of Computer at the British University, Prof. Dr. Hala Mushir, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Rasha Ismail, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Tamer Mostafa, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of Alumni Associations at Ain Shams University, Dr. Yasmine Afifi, director of the alumni unit at the faculty, and a group of the professor, members of the faculty board, the teaching assistants, and students' families.
n his speech during the celebration, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini expressed his happiness to be among the graduates of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, and the participation of 600 male and female students, their joy at graduating from one of the most important faculties of the university, stressing that the graduates of the faculty are at the top, by graduating from a faculty with a very important specialization in light of the global trend of digital transformation, noting that the Corona pandemic had a major role in accelerating the pace of the development of digital transformation in all fields, disciplines and institutions at the local and global levels, especially in the education sector.
Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini thanked the members of the Faculty Board, headed by Prof. Dr. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty, for their continuous efforts and giving to the Faculty and the University over the years. He also congratulated the students and their families on this important day in the lives of students and their families.
The President of Ain Shams University appealed to the first graduates to continue in their faculties, to become future professors and learn from a new generation, in addition to their participation in the labor market, pointing out that the university is currently in partnerships with governmental, local and international agencies that provide job and research opportunities in light of the fourth generation universities.
He added that the graduates of the faculties of the university are considered ambassadors for it, and we are waiting for many graduates of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences to write new success stories in education, industry and all disciplines.
In her speech, Prof. Dr. Najgwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty, said that she is waiting for this day to share with students their happiness of their success and the beginning of a new life, adding that the country is now witnessing a distinct technological boom, which makes the doors of the labor market open to faculty graduates.
She added that the Faculty of Computers at Ain Shams University has distinguished programs and pioneering disciplines such as computer systems, cyber security and scientific accounts, and the faculty has taken steps that make graduates proud of their belonging to it, and this is what we see in the increase in demand for the faculty.
Prof. Dr. Nagwa Badr, congratulated the students’ parents, thanked them for their support, and hoped that this celebration would be the beginning of a new, more distinguished and successful life.
Prof. Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti, President of the Alumni Association, thanks the faculty administration represented by the dean and the deans. She stressed that the families represent the unknown soldier in this celebration. They are the main supporter of the students, and they are now reaping the results of their efforts and support for their children over the past four years.
Prof. Dr. Reem reviewed the establishment of the Alumni Association sponsored by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, and this is a desire for the graduates to be in continuous contact with the university and to strengthen the links between the university and its graduates. They remain in constant contact with the faculty.
It is worth mentioning that the ceremony's activities witnessed a film screening of the most prominent memories of the class of 2022 and success stories of distinguished graduates of the faculty, as well as honoring the first students from the 23rd and 22nd classes.
The ceremony included a presentation of luminous models of a group of the most prominent graduates of the faculty who assumed a prominent position in the major companies operating in the field locally and internationally, in addition to a bouquet of various artistic paragraphs from the faculty choir's creations amid a great interaction of the audience
