The symposium began with the Republican anthem, followed by verses from the Holy Quran.

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Jalal, Dean of the Faculty, welcomed the attendees and congratulated the Arab nation and the Egyptian people on the eternal memory of the Great October War, praising the role of the great Egyptian people with all its sects.

He praised the great role of the Arab brothers and the support and support provided. The Arab brothers stood with sister Egypt and the Arabs pressured with all their might on the parties supporting the enemy, cutting off oil from them, which put them in a predicament in front of their people due to the severe shortage of energy, as the Arabs provided funds and logistical support to Egypt until victory

The Dean of the Faculty urged the youth of Egypt, congratulating them that they are the protectors of this country, and that they are the fruit of its heart, and they are the ones whose minerals appear in times of crisis, he urged them not to get carried away by the discouraged and those who spread their negative energies and try to spread frustration among the youth that this generation is different from the October generation, assuring them that this generation and its predecessors and those who follow it from the sons of Egypt have the same genetic genes and the same pride, so the Egyptian accepts death, does not accept that a grain of soil touches his land

He referred to the role of the Egyptian farmer, the fighter, who set the greatest examples of chivalry and masculinity, and did not expect to be praised, remembered, or immortalized, on this day, 49 years ago, the Egyptian farmer left the ax to take up arms in order to liberate the land, maintain honor, and raise the banner of honor, this farmer, who was fighting to transform the barren land into a green paradise, was able to turn the sands of Sinai into blazing fires that would burn all those who tried to desecrate its land.

Thus, the chief farmer, the late President Mohamed Anwar El-Sadat, said that this generation of Egypt’s peasants is handing over the flag raised to future generations, as he said in a loud voice. Now this people has a shield and a sword, after the crossing, this farmer returned not to bear arms, but to carry the ax for development and construction to achieve food security for the Egyptians for the sake of the Egyptian national security, and this is how they are the peasants of Egypt, a hand carrying arms for the maintenance of land and supply, and a hand holding an ax for the good and development of the people of Egypt.

A sincere greeting to those who achieved the great crossing, and moved to achieve the greatest crossing, Sinai development and agricultural development is the heart of economic development.

We must take into account that October produced a new factor, which had not previously appeared in the calculations of forces, which is the Egyptian soldier, for the Institutes of Strategic and Military Studies to add a new factor to the calculations of forces, which is the “combat quality”, meaning the combatant individual. That factor that, before 1973, was absent from all calculations and estimates, which led to false results about the superiority of the Israeli army.

He invited the students to the fact that they still have a lot and a lot of latent abilities that they do not know about except by searching in themselves. Each of them can imagine that he is in a battle and has to strive for victory.

Major General Staff Harb / Mohamed Bahjat Farid, the former director of the National Defense College, also expressed his happiness at being invited to participate in the October Victories Symposium, stressing that Ain Shams University has a special place and that he is happy to be in the faculty of Agriculture.

He began with a quick review of modern Egyptian history, noting the difficulties and conspiracies surrounding Egypt that aimed to destabilize it and undermine its army and how these attempts were annihilated by the Egyptian personality and its influence on those around it, and from that was the tripartite aggression against Egypt in 1956 in our modern era and then a setback June 1967 An attempt to exhaust the Egyptian power and does not give it an opportunity to develop or seek a better future for its children, its economy is always a war economy and under pressure, but the Egyptian dignity refused to comply with what was being plotted against it. The will of the nation rose up, the forces of Arabism were empowered, a historical epic dominated and a crushing victory for a false legend that is said to be invincible, the Egyptians wrote with their blood the brightest pages of history, despite the lack of advanced capabilities, but Al-Faisal was the character with which the Egyptian soldier appeared.

Then he reviewed the types of wars until it ended with the fourth and fifth generation wars, stressing that this type of war “exists and is based on questioning the capabilities and leadership of the people,” and that talking about public affairs without real study or understanding constitutes an erroneous public opinion, the speaker in it must belong to the institution he is talking about, be fully qualified in strategy and national security, and realize that everything that is known is not said, indicating that every decision issued by the state has a higher interest, and every decision issued by the state has a philosophy .

He pointed out that the areas of national security are affected by talking about public affairs in the political field by questioning the credibility of the responsible authorities in the state and instilling misconceptions, which causes a state of panic among citizens by trying to keep them away from important issues and their feeling of disloyalty and belonging and questioning National projects implemented by the state, which cause harm to the supreme interests of the state and national security, due to the dissemination of a distorted image of the state and the spread of confusion. Security and military, distorting the image of the security leadership, suggesting that the state is unable to protect defense and security, and in the social field, affecting social relations, lack of coherence and the spread of strife among citizens, and he pointed out that the bet was always on the Egyptians and their awareness and concern for the higher interest of the country and always won the bet because the Egyptian always shows the most valuable in times of adversity, then the speech of Dr. Dina Al-Manzlawy, coordinator of the symposium, on the occasion of the forty-ninth anniversary of the sixth of October, let us together be inspired by the spirit of victory that was rooted in awareness, memory and national conscience. Overcome difficulties with minimal losses

Now, 49 years after the glorious October War, we proudly recall its heroism and fragrant memories, to draw from its determination, and to draw from it all the meanings and lofty values such as self-denial, team spirit, sacrifice and redemption... Let us face the challenges of the age by employing the available capabilities and resources to enable Egypt to overcoming the current difficulties and challenges with the same determination that enabled it to achieve the October victory, the greatest victories in contemporary Egyptian history.

The October War was full of lessons and lessons, foremost of which is that the occupation cannot last and that force does not impose a fait accompli or is impossible when there is solid determination and strong will, along with scientific planning and creative thought. .
