The Faculty of Arts celebrates the 49th anniversary of the October victory with a seminar entitled The epic of the liberation of Sinai... 22 years of military, political and legal battles

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and within the framework of the faculty’s celebration of the forty-ninth anniversary of the glorious October victory, the faculty organized a symposium entitled: “The Epic of Sinai Liberation… 22 Years of Military, Political and Legal Battles” in which Major General Pilot staff of war Dr. Hesham El-Halabi, advisor at the Nasser Military Academy, presented a historical review of the reasons for Israel’s occupation of Sinai in 1976, and peace attempts before and after the 1973 war, stressing the ability of the Egyptian army to overcome the difficult conditions it faced with unconventional solutions, by relying on water pumping in demolishing Bar-Lev wrote, as Major General Al-Halabi reviewed, a video of excerpts from the words of the late President Anwar Sadat after the glorious victory, and how he was able, with his wisdom and military, political and diplomatic professionalism, to break and destroy the Israeli security theory in six hours using the concept of smart power, which includes a mixture of hard power and soft power in a strategy one .

   
   

Major General El-Halabi presented a number of photos and videos that highlight the capabilities that the United States provided to Israel after the war, which made the liberation of Sinai more effective by using peace and negotiation better than war by achieving the equation of military force.

El -Halabi stressed that God will help whoever takes the reasons, as the army is the protective shield for the homeland with its wise move under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Republic, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

The counselor El -Halabi urged the students to arm themselves with knowledge as the most important factor in leadership and achievement of goals, and urged them to read the peace treaty to learn the methods of negotiation in order to obtain the right.

   
   

On her part, Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel emphasized the faculty’s keenness to celebrate victories, by hosting military experts and eyewitnesses to the war and providing students with the opportunity to read the great history of Egypt and its victories, and to draw information from its original sources. The whole world demonstrated the courage of the Egyptians in achieving the October victory and completing it with negotiations and diplomacy until the liberation of the last inch of land from Egypt through the Taba negotiations in 1989. He answered all the students' questions regarding the topic of the symposium.
