The Faculty of Science team wins first place at the level of Egyptian universities in the competition organized by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University

A third-year student team in the "Applied and Analytical Microbiology" program at the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University, won the first place at the level of Egyptian universities in the competition organized by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University, as part of the activities of the eighth international conference "Egyptian Vision for Climate Conference COP27".

The participation of the team came under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ragaa, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Khaled Ibrahim, coordinator of the Applied and Analytical Microbiology Program, where the team participated in a poster entitled: Using sgsE gene from _Geobacillus stearothermophillus_strain to make wheat plants genetically modified to resist Climatic change, through which they presented a research proposal to use genetic engineering to transfer the gene responsible for bearing temperatures The team won first place at the level of Egyptian universities and received the competition shield and certificates of appreciation, in addition to a financial prize, and the team consisted of students : Yara Ashraf, Ahmed Bilal, Mohamed Sameh, Ahmed El-Sayed, Maryam Gomaa.
