Within the framework of Ain Shams University’s participation in the activities of the Conference of the Parties (COP27 Climate Summit),
In the presence and participation of Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, participated in the Sanofi session on reducing the carbon footprint through virtual medicine "D-Carbon"
This was within the activities of the Conference of the Parties, the COP27 Climate Summit, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting as Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development.
During his speech, Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini said that reducing the carbon footprint has become a global necessity in light of what humanity is witnessing from the negative effects of climate change, pointing out that Ain Shams University was a pioneer in this field and made great strides towards transforming into a green smart university.
His Excellency reviewed the efforts of Ain Shams University during the global Covid-19 pandemic, which the university faced with proactive steps that had the most impact in mitigating the effects of the pandemic at the educational and health levels.
His Excellency stressed the need to widely disseminate the results of studies in this regard in order to benefit from the experience more.
The participation came as a continuation of the cooperation between Ain Shams University and Sanofi International, in the presence of leaders from different countries of the world.
