Fire safety and security rules… A workshop at the Faculty of Specific Education

Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Sayed Mustafa, Dean of the Faculty, opened a workshop entitled "Security and Safety Rules for Fire", in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Farag, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kadri, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Walaa Anis, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and a group of staff, students and faculty members at the Faculty, under the supervision of Dr. Ayat Anwar, director of the Crisis and Disaster Management Unit at the Faculty, in cooperation with Dr. Mahmoud Al-Atifi, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty, and Dr. Abdul Rahman Shawqi, Director of the Training and Skills Development Unit, and his deputy, Dr. Mohamed Massad, Deputy Director of the Unit. A two-day workshop entitled “Security and Safety Rules for Fire” was held, in which Lt. Col. Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Hamid, Deputy Director of the General Department of Security and Director of the Civil Defense Department at Ain Shams University lectured.

Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Muhammad started the workshop by talking about matters of security and safety and that the issue of security and safety is the specialty of every individual in the Faculty and not an employee, student or a specific person. Security and safety There are no losses (human - financial), and the presenter presented examples that illustrate the importance of securing the institution from fires and sudden accidents.

He stressed the need to take care of equipment such as fire extinguishers, pipes, hoses, etc., and procedures and instructions. There must be clear instructions for the team and attention to the human element so that it has the knowledge, training and experience to implement the instructions for crisis management. He also stressed the importance of having a firefighting team trained in firefighting only and another team. To evacuate students and staff, to evacuate the human element and everything that has value in the building, a first aid team, shelter, security control, movement, information gathering, and maintenance. Their tasks and jobs are completely clear, and everyone works under the management of the crisis unit.
