The Faculty of Archeology holds the twelfth council of the Faculty

The Council of the Faculty of Archeology at Ain Shams University held its twelfth monthly meeting in the Faculty Council Hall, headed by Prof. Dr. Hussam Tantawi, Acting Dean of the Faculty and its Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and the membership of Prof. Dr., Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, heads of scientific departments, and members of the Council.

Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawi, acting dean of the Faculty, initialized the meeting by referring to the mid-semester exams that the Faculty holds this week, wishing everyone success and payment.

With regard to the education and student affairs sector, His Excellency discussed with the Council the adoption of the specifications and standards for mid-semester exams, the transfer of some students' registration, and a proposal for field visits.

Moving the discussions to the sectors of graduate studies and community service, the session dealt with several topics, most notably: registration of master’s and diploma students, canceling the registration of some master’s and doctoral students, the travel of some faculty staff on scientific missions, and the project management work plan for the first semester of the current academic year.

Dr. Rania Zeidan, Director of the Quality Unit at the Faculty, reviewed issues several topics, including a proposal to form a committee to prepare a guide to the rules governing control work and examination procedures, to approve the training plan for the administrative body based on training needs questionnaires, and to form a committee of institutional standards coordinators to achieve total quality and enable the Faculty to perform its mission and achieve its vision.
