The Fifth African Conference for Research in Chemistry Education obtains UN approval to be included in the activities of the International Year of Basic Sciences

The Fifth African Conference for Research in Chemistry Education, which is being held at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University, obtained the approval of the UN to include it in the activities of the International Year of Basic Sciences, and thus the conference will receive the United Nations logo.

It is noteworthy that the work of the conference will start on Wednesday, corresponding to the seventh of December 2022, and will last for three days, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Farouk Fahmy, Professor of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University and Chairman of the Conference, Prof. Dr. Nadia Kandil, Professor of Chemistry at the Faculty of Women, Ain Shams University and Chairman of the Scientific Committee, Prof. Dr. Ghada Bassiouni, Professor of Chemistry at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Conference.

The conference will discuss several axes, the most important of which are: learning, teaching and assessment methodologies, curricula, research and development, challenges and opportunities for e-learning, distance learning during the Covid-19 epidemic ... challenges and opportunities, learning and leadership policy, and systemic thought for learning chemistry.
