Starting the activities of the field visit for the accreditation of the Faculty of Pharmacy from the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation

Within the framework of the progress of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Ain Shams University to renew the institutional accreditation certificate from the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation, for the third time in a row; Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, received the Accreditation Committee, in the presence of Prof. Amani Osama, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Rasha Khafagy, Director of the Quality Assurance Center at the University, Prof. Myriam Farid Ayad, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Pharmacy.

The formation of the team of reviewers representing the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation, headed by Prof. Dr. Abdullah Ahmed Abdallah, Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Zagazig University, and the membership of Prof. Mahmoud El-Badri Abdel-Mottalib, Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Assiut University, and Prof. Magda Ahmed El-Sherbiny, Professor of Medical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mansoura University, and Prof. Maha Mohamed Abdel Rahman Mubarak, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy for Graduate Studies and Environmental Affairs, Al-Azhar University.

         
   
         

During the meeting, Prof. Ayman Saleh reviewed the university's efforts to support Facultys and develop infrastructure, in addition to establishing the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and the Employment Center, referring to the university's efforts to support international publishing when research is accepted and published.

His Excellency explained that the Faculty of Pharmacy is currently preparing for international accreditation after obtaining the renewal of accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation, and the Faculty of Engineering has already applied to accredit some of its programs internationally, pointing out that work is underway in full swing to enter the university for local and international accreditation.

In addition, Prof. Rasha Khafagy reviewed the aspects of cooperation and technical support between the Quality Assurance Center and the university faculties in general, and the Faculty of Pharmacy in particular, including technical support visits and simulation visits to the Faculty, and the keenness to receive monthly performance reports for the Faculties and presenting a report on the center’s performance monthly at the University Council and the Postgraduate Studies and Research Sector Council, as well Follow-up of quality work plans in the faculties and the mechanisms and timing of their implementation, in addition to following up on the faculties’ strategic plan and its connection to the implementation of the university’s strategic plan.
