Ain Shams University receives the best research award during the first international conference on remote sensing applications and space sciences

The activities of the First International Conference on Remote Sensing Applications and Space Sciences, held in Hurghada from December 8 to 11, were concluded, sponsored by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and in scientific partnership with Ain Shams University, the Russian RUDN University, the Saudi Geographical Society, the Military Survey Authority, and the Arab Academy. Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.

Participated in the opening of the conference Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Graduate Studies and Research. Five researchers from Ain Shams University from the Faculties of Science, Education, Agriculture, Literature, Computers, and Information participated in the activities of the conference.

         
   
         

Also participated Prof. Dr. Rasha Bunduq, coordinator of Ain Shams University in the professional diploma specializing in remote sensing and geographic information systems, at the exhibition of the conference to display the graduation projects of diploma students.

During the conference, Dr. Sahar Mahmoud Abdel-Baqi Ahmed, a teacher of geology at the Department of Biological Sciences and Geology at the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University, won the award for the best research entitled "The Environmental Impacts of Mining Activities in the Umm Balad Al-Araf Region in the Middle Eastern Desert", and she was honored by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Bayoumi Zahran, Chairman of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences and President of the Conference, Prof. Dr. Ghada Atta, Vice President of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences for Entrepreneurship and Community Service Affairs, and Rapporteur of the Conference.
