The sectors of community service, environmental development, education and student affairs at Ain Shams University are organizing a symposium entitled "Digital Egypt ... Transformation into an Integrated Digital Society", as part of the "University Cultural Season" activities, with the participation of His Excellency Dr. Eng. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, acting Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and coordinating Prof. Dr. Gehan Ragab, Advisor to the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and supervised by Mr. Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Mrs. Reham Al-Otaifi, who is facilitating the work of the Assistant Secretary for Education and Student Affairs, and organizing the students of the University Students’ Union and for Egypt Central family, and in the presence of a number of public figures and media professionals, on Sunday 16/10/2022 at El Mahalawy auditorium at the Faculty of Medicine at 12:00pm.

The symposium comes within the framework of the university’s cultural season, which includes several cultural and artistic seminars for national symbols in various fields, with the aim of raising and developing the cultural and social awareness of faculty members, students and university employees, preparing a generation capable of taking responsibility, and raising awareness of the most prominent objectives of Egypt’s digital strategy and the role of youth in achieving Technological progress and raising awareness of the importance of digital transformation and promoting digital culture, as the young generation is considered the backbone of future economies and is the most interested in digital solutions.

The symposium includes three main themes, the first theme revolves around achieving digital transformation through cooperation between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and all sectors of the state to provide digital government services to the Egyptian citizen in an accessible manner. The second theme deals with the establishment of a strong information infrastructure to provide communication and Internet services at a distinguished level Efficiency, stability and stability, and the third theme comes around building digital capabilities and supporting technological innovation and entrepreneurship with the aim of creating distinguished job opportunities in the field of communications and information technology.
