Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University, on a visit to the Faculty of Medicine of the Armed Forces

Within the framework of increasing awareness and raising the national sense among students, and in the interest of Ain Shams University to raise the cultural and scientific level and educate its students in various fields of knowledge and to benefit from the expertise of the Ministry of Defense represented by field visits to university students, the PDF organized in cooperation with Ain Shams University, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, and the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, under the supervision of Colonel Ahmed Najm, Director of the Military Education Department at the university, a visit to the Faculty of Medicine of the Armed Forces.

Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, was received by Major General Dr. Hani Al-Saadani, Deputy Director of the Faculty of Medicine in the Armed Forces for Community Service and Environmental Development. His Excellency expressed his sincere appreciation for the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, at the head of the visit. Where Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud is a scientific value and stature of distinguished medical scientists globally. He is a professor of orthopedics and spine surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, and president of the International Society for Spine Surgery.

         
   
         

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Abdul Fattah Saoud, thanks to the General Command of the Armed Forces for its permanent and continuous support to the Faculty of Medicine by following the most appropriate methods in applying the latest scientific and technical standards to ensure the quality of education, which contributes to the development of the medical system in accordance with the latest international standards.

Major General Hani Al-Saadani reviewed a documentary film about the establishment of the Faculty of Military Medicine as one of the military faculties of the Egyptian Armed Forces that graduate military doctors with a bachelor's degree in medicine to prepare and qualify new batches of military doctors according to the latest international medical sciences, which will reflect positively on the public health of society and upgrading the level of medical and treatment services provided.

After the film was shown, commemorative shields were exchanged between the two sides.

The activities of the field visit began inside the anatomy laboratories and classrooms for scientific lectures and auditoriums equipped with the latest learning methods. The armed forces have a new project to produce a group of “combatants” doctors, so these students learn military arts and war sciences at the same time as they study the latest in the Medicine.

The university students expressed their great happiness at the success of the faculty administration in signing many cooperation protocols with Egyptian and international universities.

         
   
         

It is worth noting that the cooperation frameworks between Ain Shams University and the Faculty of Military Medicine are not limited to field visits, but also extend to the exchange of knowledge experiences, scientific research and various cooperation protocols, including but not limited to:

- Preparing and implementing an annual scientific conference that reviews all that is new in all medical specialties and displays all the achievements made in the two faculties in all sectors (education sector, students, community service, environmental development, postgraduate studies, the quality of the educational process, the quality of health and medical care in hospitals, plans for continuous development and capacity development)

- Preparing and implementing scientific seminars in all medical specialties.

- Preparing and implementing training programs and workshops to hone the skills of students, newly graduated doctors, and postgraduate students in all that is new in the various medical fields, with the participation of faculty staff from academic and clinical departments, experts and consultant doctors in the Armed Forces, as well as cooperation in the use of clinical skill labs teaching aids to serve students the kidneys.

         
   
         

At the end of the visit, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, thanks to everyone who contributed to this edifice, starting from the decision to establish it, passing through everyone who participated from the respected faculty administration and loyal faculty staff.
