The President of Ain Shams University receives the delegation of the General Secretariat of the Emirati Khalifa Award for Education

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, witnessed the introductory meeting organized by the university for the delegation of the General Secretariat of the Emirati Khalifa Award for Education, which included His Excellency Mohamed Salem Al-Dhaheri, member of the Board of Trustees of the Khalifa Educational Award, His Excellency Amal Al-Afifi, Secretary-General of the Khalifa Award for Education, Dr. Suad Mohamed Al-Suwaidi, Deputy Secretary-General For the Khalifa Award for Education, Dr. Khaled Al-Abri, member of the executive committee of the award, Mr. Abdullah Al-Ghafli, responsible for financial affairs and human resources, Mr. Salama, media advisor, Mr. Sultan Al-Amiri, public relations, and Dr. Rehab Mahmoud Ahmed at Cairo University and coordinator of the Khalifa Award for Education in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

During the meeting, which was attended by Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, and a large number of deans, vice deans, faculty members, and administrators, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini appreciated Egyptian-Emirati relations and the role of the Khalifa Educational Award in spreading the culture of excellence locally and internationally, and its role in supporting and encouraging creativity, innovation and scientific and educational research in the various stages of education, and its contribution to attracting and spreading successful international practices, stressing the unlimited support of Ain Shams University for this award, within the framework of cooperation close relations between the two brotherly countries.

For his part, His Excellency Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, member of the Board of Trustees of the Khalifa Award for Education, expressed his happiness at his visit to the sister country of Egypt, and his presence and the delegation of the General Secretariat inside an ancient academic edifice such as Ain Shams University, which has an international reputation and is globally classified, stressing the depth of the historical relations that bind the two countries, and explained that this visit It aims to introduce the award and its importance at the level of the Arab world, its fields, categories, methods of applying for it, conditions and timetable, and to strengthen the distinguished relations between Egypt and the UAE in the fields of education, higher education, culture, and scientific research, in addition to exchanging views and experiences for the best educational, educational and cultural practices to serve the educational process in Egypt and the UAE.

Amal Al-Afifi, Secretary-General of the Award, explained that the award includes 10 fields distributed over 17 categories, including the field of legal educational personality, the field of general education (the creative teacher category, the institutional educational performance category), the field of educational research, the field of people of determination, and the field of technical education.

Reference was made to the launch date of the award in 2007 in the various fields of the educational process, with an emphasis on the fact that the sixteenth session of this year aims to expand the base of participation in order to enrich the educational role and share and exchange knowledge.

At the end of the meeting, questions were opened to the attendees, followed by the exchange of shields, honors, and memorial books.
