The Faculty of Education organizes a workshop on the mechanisms of qualifying graduates of language departments to work in the tourism sector

Under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Hazem Rashid, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Alaa El-Din Abdel-Halim Mohamed Farag, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Safaa Shehata, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs. The Faculty of Education, through the French Department of the Faculty, under the supervision of Prof. Maha Morcos, Head of the Department, organized a symposium on "Qualifying graduates of language departments to work in the tourism sector."

         
   
         

Prof. Azza Mohamed Sayed Hassan, Dean of the Egyptian Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotels, lectured at this symposium. The idea of the workshop was organized and arranged by Dr. Manal Zahran, Assistant Professor in the Department. Dr. Nahla Bassiouni, Assistant Professor in the Department, followed up and implemented the workshop in light of the direction of the university and Faculty administrations to expand their perceptions. Graduates to be able to qualify for a wide variety of job opportunities.

Prof. Azza stressed that the tourist language is a modern term that links the tourism industry with the study of language. The tourism industry depends on the skill of organizing programs, reservations and managing tourist offices. It also depends on the language skill and mastery of it, as all tourism tasks require dealing with the tourist in his language. The provision of tourism services and facilities will not be of high quality without speaking one or more languages. The tourism field is wide for language-speaking graduates of Facultys of education to work in tourism and aviation companies, hotels, restaurants, air hospitality, bazaars, the tourism transport sector and tourism marketing companies.

Students from all language departments at the Faculty were keen to attend, discuss and benefit from the diverse experiences and skills that must be available in this important field. Many members of the faculty and supporting staff attended to learn about everything new in this field. The importance of this training workshop lies in the importance of Acquiring the various skills necessary to qualify for this field from all language departments of the Faculty from Faculty students - in order to establish the role of the Faculty and the university and to achieve its mission in qualifying for various job opportunities and the participation of societal parties to achieve excellence and competition.
