Ain Shams University joins the United Nations initiative of the Association for Sustainable Development Solutions

Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi, Director of the Center of Excellence for Sustainability, stated that within the framework of the keenness of Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini to transform into a green, smart, sustainable university, and as a continuation of the efforts of the Center of Excellence for Sustainability at Ain Shams University to achieve the requirements of this transformation, Ain Shams University joined the United Nations initiative of the Association for Sustainable Development Solutions Network. Also, he added that the accession of Ain Shams University to this initiative is a continuation of the efforts of partnership with international organizations and bodies interested in the axes of sustainable development, in order to achieve cooperation, transfer of experiences, and participation in various international events.

The Sustainable Development Solutions Association (SDSN) is a non-profit association launched by the United Nations in 2012 to promote the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the national and international levels; As of 2022, the association has more than 1,700 members across 144 countries, with offices in New York, Paris, and Kuala Lumpur.
