Successful removal of a brain clot in a child by cerebral catheterization at Ain Shams University Hospitals

A medical team of the Faculty members in the Pediatric Neurology Unit and the Interventional Radiology and Brain Catheterization Unit at Ain Shams University Hospitals succeeded in saving the life of the 12-year-old Ahmed, who was received at the University Children's Hospital suffering from hemiplegia as a result of a brain stroke. Pediatric Neurology Unit, Faculty of Medicine, led by Prof. Sahar Hassanein, Dr. Ahmed Rihan, and the team of interventional radiology and brain catheterization in Demerdash, led by Prof. Amr Mahmoud, Dr. Wissam Shereen, Dr. Mostafa Farid, Dr. Ahmed Abu Al-Huda, d. Hossam Mohsen, Dr. Khaled Essam, and Assistant Lecturer Bahaa El Din Sayed.

All the necessary examinations were carried out in a record time, and immediately a cerebral catheter was arranged, and the clot was completely removed, and the child regained the ability to move with his four limbs, and he was rescued from a confirmed disability that almost changed the course of his life.
