The Conferences Committee of the Faculty of Engineering, at Ain Shams University, organized a symposium entitled "Means of Change Toward Sustainable Development" in cooperation with the Center for Integrative Education at AMIDEAST Egypt STEM to bridge the knowledge gap on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), which was delivered by Prof. Mohamed Eid, consultant, sustainable development expert and former director of the Office Internationalization at the British University, under the supervision of Prof. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Amr Shaat, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and in coordination with Dr. Mai Kamal, Program Officer for the Integrated Education Program (STEM) at AMIDEAST Egypt, and Dr. Othman Ahmed Omar, scientific research coordinator at the faculty.
The main objective of the symposium is to raise awareness and appreciation of the importance of the STEM approach as it relates to sustainability issues by demonstrating the current efforts to develop sustainable solutions to global challenges through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
