A convoy of Ain Shams University, within the presidential initiative "A Decent Life", provides 9,000 cartons of foodstuffs to the citizens of the cities of Halayeb, Shalateen and Abu Ramad in the Red Sea

Today, the comprehensive development convoy of Ain Shams University for the Red Sea Governorate finished its work in serving citizens in the cities of Halayeb, Shalateen and Abu Ramad in the Red Sea Governorate, within the framework of the presidential initiative, a decent life, and under the auspices of Major General staff officer Dr. Amr Hanafi, Governor of the Red Sea and Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Southern Military Region.

Over the course of 5 days, the convoy provided its services to citizens in various medical, societal and awareness axes, as the number of beneficiaries of the free medical service reached 2,985 citizens. Dentistry, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynecology, ear, nose and throat, speech, dermatology, anesthesia, x-rays and medical tests, at the headquarters of the Health Unit in Halayeb and Shalateen Central Hospital.

Medicines were dispensed free of charge to 2,800 beneficiaries of the caravan pharmacy, in addition to referring 65 cases to receive treatment at Ain Shams University Hospitals in Cairo for free, and 52 minor surgeries were performed, under the auspices of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals.

         
   
         

The convoy was under the general supervision of Prof. Hala Suwaid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Tarek Youssef, Executive Director of University Hospitals at Ain Shams University, administrative supervision and the presence of Mr. Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The convoy included organizing a number of awareness campaigns for the lecturer and trainer, Prof. Tarek Abdel Fattah on the concept of social phenomena, types of negative phenomena, types of positive phenomena, causes of the spread of negative phenomena, methods of prevention and treatment

In the field of community services, and in cooperation with the Social Affairs Authority in the governorate and the Egyptian Food Bank, 9,000 cartons of foodstuffs and supplies were distributed to the people of the cities of Halayeb, Shalateen and Abu Ramad.

It is noteworthy that this convoy, which was launched by Ain Shams University to serve the people of the cities of Halayeb, Shalateen and Abu Ramad, is part of a series of comprehensive development convoys organized by the university for the various governorates of the Republic within the framework of the presidential initiative, a dignified life, and to achieve the goals of sustainable development and Egypt's vision 2030.
