The Faculty of Girls, at Ain Shams University, organized a development convoy for the Children's Hospital in Demerdash, under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Amira Ahmed Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Girls, and Prof. Heba Adel Barakat, Vice Dean for Faculty Affairs Community service and environmental development.
The convoy visited children suffering from tumors, kidney failure, and immunodeficiency, to relieve some of the pain of the disease on the children, try to draw a smile on their faces, and provide support for the children's mothers and children.
The Department of Education and Information Technology, headed by Prof. Zainab Salami, at the Faculty, presented digital stories about climate problems, and puppet theater, and taught children about the bride industry. The Faculty students: Mayar Ahmed Mohamed, Omnia Mohamed Abdel Hamid, Samar Samir Lutfi, Fatima Taha Saeed, Hajar Ahmed Mohamed, and Nada Ragab Issa, helped the children and made them happy
In addition to teaching children the production of three-dimensional models and shapes using cardboard, colored paper, cutting and pasting, and clay doughs, Hajar Ahmed Abdel Hakim, Salma Ashraf Ibrahim, Nardin Talaat Rizkallah, Iman Ahmed Qarni, Reda Jamal Adly, Hajar Alaeddin Hamed taught the children and tried to relieve their pain.
The visit contributed to raising the morale of the children from the patients attending the hospital and alleviating their suffering. The hospital was inspected and advanced medical services were introduced. The attendees praised the high-quality medical care for pediatric patients, and the provision of full support to them until the stage of recovery under the care of Prof. Yasmine Gamal, Director of Demerdash Children's Hospital. At the end of the visit, the attendees wished the patients a full recovery, and souvenir photos were taken.
