The President of Ain Shams University participates in the 55th session of the "General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities"

Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, participated in the work of the General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities in its fifty-fifth session, which is hosted by the Universities of "Sousse" and "Monastir" in Tunisia and takes place from 18 to 20 March.

This came in the presence of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, several ministers of higher education in the Arab countries, and Ambassador Ehab Fahmy, the Egyptian ambassador to the Republic of Tunisia, and with the participation of more than 200 university presidents from various brotherly Arab countries.

The conference activities included a set of discussion sessions, which dealt with a specialized session for a number of ministers of higher education; to discuss the topic of digital transformation in higher education "experiences and a view to the future", and another session on student participation and the role of students in university governance.

Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini confirmed that the university's participation in the conference's work comes within the framework of Ain Shams University's endeavor to strengthen the exchange of experiences with the participating universities, which has a great impact on the educational process and to increase its competitiveness at the regional and global levels.
