The President of Ain Shams University meets with the staff of the Career Center to present the results and achievements of the annual employment fair of the university

Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, met with the staff of the Career Center at the university to present the results and achievements of the annual employment forum, which was held on March 4 and 5, 2023, in the presence of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The presentation began with the introduction of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of the Employment Center, to the Employment Forum, its purpose, and its importance for students and graduates of Ain Shams University.

This was followed by Ms. Sama Singer, Executive Director of the Center, explaining the reasons and logic behind choosing to hold this type of event based on a market study conducted with more than 400 companies. Then, Eng. Reem Rahim, Deputy Director of the Center for Partnerships and Institutional Relations, and Ms. Alaa Bayoumi, business development specialist, presented the results of the event from Where the numbers of participating companies, the number of students and graduates, and the companies' evaluation of the event, all of which exceeded the previously set goals. More than 5,000 students and graduates from the university participated in the employment forum, with the presence of 75 companies.

   
   

After that, Mr. Baher Amer, the Financial and Administrative Director, explained the steps that were coordinated with all the administrative and financial authorities in the university to ensure the implementation of the effectiveness in a smooth manner and in accordance with the university's policies, as well as ensuring the smooth running of financial and administrative operations and the payment of suppliers' dues on the agreed dates.

Then, Engineer Mahmoud Atef, Director of Projects and Events, explained the management of the logistics of the event, which was carried out in an organized manner and with great success. Then Mr. Ahmed Salah, Senior Professional Education Specialist, presented the preparatory activities that preceded the forum, which were preparatory workshops, online courses, and field advertising campaigns on the university campus, in addition to The role played by the volunteer team of Ain Shams University students under his management, in terms of organization before and during the event and the smooth registration process, and their wonderful role was reflected in the evaluation made by each of the companies, students and graduates of the university in attendance.

Ms. Alaa Nayer, Occupational Education Specialist, and Dr. Ola Sami, Occupational Education Specialist, explained the activities that took place during the event, which are vocational talks, counseling and guidance circles, soft skills workshops, technical skills, and vocational guidance workshops, and how they were among the new elements in such events and their usefulness. And being one of the very attractive elements, whether for companies or students and graduates of the university, and these activities were carried out in coordination with Ms. Farah Tariq, the supervisor of the Career Education Department, followed by Ms. Nourhan Sharif, who is the e-marketing specialist at the center, where she talked about her effective role in managing the communication pages before and during And after the event, the results of which appeared in an increase in the number of participants in all social media platforms, and significant increases in interaction with the page posts.

The presentation was concluded by Ms. Nourhan Al-Ansari, senior specialist in learning from experience, by presenting the activities that will take place after the employment forum based on the desires of the companies. These activities were planned in coordination with Ms. Noha Jamal, deputy director of the center for learning through experience.

Prof. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of the Career Center, commented after the end of the presentation that the employment forum is not the only employment event organized by the university, as the employment week is also organized in October of each year, which puts Ain Shams University in the forefront.
